The Anahata School presents a 2 year comprehensive programme of Classical Yoga Teacher Training whilst cultivating a deep understanding of alignment, safety and progression through applied Anatomy of Yoga, both physical and subtle. Students will be introduced to the components of Yoga and Yoga philosophy in a comprehensible framework, thereafter we shall weave these subtle threads of understanding, building upon the fabric of holistic integrated spiritual practice and the essential foundation of Yogic lifestyle.

The Great Master of Yoga, Swami H.H. Sivananda was known to say
“An ounce of practice is worth tons of theory”.
It is of course through experience that we develop and deepen our understanding. Therefore, emphasis on Personal Disciplined Spiritual Practice (Sadhana) is central to this Course.

It is constantly affirmed to students that the teaching of Yoga can only proceed from experiential knowledge, gained through ones own diligent practice and self study. The sharing of this knowledge flows from the very heart of consciousness, the Anahata, to bring forward the essence of this tradition and raise consciousness in others, we as teachers must stand in that space, balanced between heaven and earth, centred in the Anahata.

This understanding underpins the Teachings of the Anahata school and is encouraged and impressed upon student teachers at every opportunity and by whichever spontaneous means arises.
